Lights

Bright lights,

From a star,

Light up the night sky,

It rids,

The loneliness,

Of the night.

 

The moon sits,

By itself,

Night after night,

Only to wait.

For the time,

Night turns to day,

To see the first rays,

Of sun light,

With the star.

 

Hand in hand,

Night after night,

Day after day,

Year after year,

Still hand in hand.

 

And that is my wish,

That I may sit here,

With you,

Hand in hand,

To embrace,

Each day.

 

For your smile,

Is brighter then any,

Of the star lights,

In the night sky.

 

In the darkest of nights,

You shine my way.

And I won’t get lost,

Or lose my way,
